Hi everyone,

August already – where has the year gone??   Lots to report on this month.

  1. Membership, Membership, Membership!!!   Please renew your membership before the end of this month (Aug 31).  After that date, we are obligated to take you off our email list as per our QLDA Incorporation Rules.  The link to re-join or join can be found under the Membership Tab.  Please remember it is a 2 step process – complete the online form and then pay your money.  The paper form can be completed and posted in as well.
  • The QLDA ANNUAL GENERAL MEETING is to be held on Sunday 20 August at 7pm via Zoom.  The agenda and a list of the Management Committee Nominees have been emailed to all members.  All are welcome to join us for this meeting.  Nominations to join the Committee can be made at this meeting as well.
  • QLDC – QLDA hosted an incredibly successful line dance competition in July – congratulations to everyone who attended, competed, judged, supported etc etc.  It was an amazing day at Pine Rivers.  A full report can be seen under the QLDC Tab.
  • OneMusic Blanket Licence – I am currently working my way through the list of QLDA Instructors and have spoken to most of you.  Thank you for having your student numbers ready and available for me. 
  • Queensland Line Dance Ball – The Registration link is now open for the Queensland Line Dance Ball that will be held on Saturday 7th October.  Details are under the Ball Tab.  If you have any concerns at all – please do not hesitate to contact us.  All the current details are also on our website.  Our charity for the Ball is Care Kits for Kids for Qld. 

Congratulations also to all the Australian representatives at the World Championships – especially the girls from Lennox Beach.  I was in awe watching their routines!!!
